Our Program is About You

This program is really about you! So who can participate in this program? You!

But to be specific:

Faculty and Staff: all full-time and part-time faculty and staff members are eligible to participate

Teams: Collaborative submissions from departments or student groups are not just welcomed, but celebrated!

Join in the Movement: Your idea could be the next big thing that transforms our campus! Don’t wait – if you’re part of the Jayhawks family, you’re eligible to make a difference today.

Here’s how you do it:

Access the Online Portal:

  • Navigate to the Continuous Improvement Office section on the University of Kansas website and access the idea submission portal.
  • If you’re a first-time user, you may need to register with your university credentials.

Fill Out the Submission Form:

  • Complete the idea submission form. This will typically require details like your name, department, contact information, and a brief title for your idea.
  • Provide a detailed description of your idea, focusing on how it can save time, reduce costs, or generate revenue for the university. Be as specific as possible about the potential benefits, implementation, and potential technology need (if any).

Submit Supporting Documents (If Applicable):

  • Attach any relevant documents, diagrams, or additional resources that support your idea or provide further clarity.

Review and Submit:

  • Review your submission to ensure all information is accurate and complete.
  • Submit your idea through the portal.

Submission Process

  • You’ll receive an email acknowledging receipt of your idea as well as detailing next steps included in the Initial Review.
  • This email may also contain information about a small token of appreciation in partnership with the KU bookstore.

The Continuous Improvement Office will conduct an initial review to ensure the submission meets the basic criteria and aligns with the university’s goals.

For ideas that require further development, the office may reach out to you for additional discussion and/or collaboration.
